If you are selected for a winter OCS class date, is PT usually done indoors?
I showed up first week of January. Nearly all of our PT was indoor. Sometimes we’d go out to the field but most of the time we were in the hallways outside our rooms doing morning PT and then for the PRT we’d go to the gym.

I’m supposed to ship August 2nd, but I recently spoke to my recruiter who said my official class date was missing from my profile. He told me that he was speaking to his boss to get everything straightened out, that he didn’t think my date would get pushed, but anything can happen. It’s been in writing in other places that I’m slotted for August 2nd so I believe that’s what he sent up. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I’m about to go to OCS in a week—I was informed just last week, so everything is on haste. I’d like to ask if anyone had dependents while at OCS & what the process of getting BAH and Tricare was like.

I read the following somewhere else:
1. Submit marriage certificate & inform of dependent at OCS
2. OCS processes it
3. After a couple weeks, have wife contact DEERS & have her bring a power of attorney to get ID & BAH

Can anybody confirm? How long did it take for paychecks & BAH to come through? We also have a baby on the way, so just concerned for my wife to get the paychecks ASAP.

How does it work if you’re already married/prior enlisted candidate with a wife/dependent that is already in deers/has id card? My wife is going to stay with her parents while im in OCS. Will I just continue to receive bah while there and it rolls over after I check out of my current command? Or do I also have to submit an application for bah once at OCS again. I’ve heard upon pcs it rolls over until check in of next final duty station but was just curious. Disclaimer: my wife doesn’t need the bah per se, but housing here says that service members receive it regardless now and that the old system of providing lease agreement and whatnot to receive bah is an older system.
