I only have it via my parents, who were Polish citizens and then immigrated and got naturalized, I never applied for it (jure sanguinis). My only passport expired when I was a wee lil baby. My background interview went swimmingly well regarding this matter too.

Am I gonna get shafted for not doing it before OCS??

I’m considering starting the process now because it’s egregiously long and needs direct approval via the Polish president and other shenanigans

I’m in a similar boat. I had spanish citizenship from my mother but I didn’t need to do anything because when I turned 18 I would’ve had to contact the Spanish embassy for it to continue so it just expired then. From what I’ve been told I don’t need to do anything and they didn’t even want my old passport.
