sTUPID qUESTIONS aBOUT ocs

Is it coming from overseas? If so, generally your car will be shipped to a regional delivery depot and you (or someone authorized to act on your behalf) have to go pick it up. The depots are usually near main ports like Norfolk, New Orleans, Pearl, LA, and Orlando.

If you're shipping it yourself INCONUS, then the driver will generally meet you (or someone you authorize) at a place he can easily get to and unload (which won't be on a military installation).
It's gonna be hawaii to newport. is it fine if I will pick it up after ocs? are they going to charge me for storage?

Quick question, If youre an Active duty reporting to OCS and planning to ship a car from your current duty station, are they gonna drop it to OCS or I have to pick it up? It's gonna be my first "PCS".
OCS isn’t a PCS. It’s technically a I-stop. They will not ship your POV till you get your orders out of OCS. Only exception is if your overseas and have dependents, then you could do a early return of dependents to your HOR. DM me if you have questions I recently graduated and I came from Hawaii as well.

My package for SWO was pushed from the August board to the January board. My recruiter initially cited a large volume of applications as the reason when he told me earlier this week. Today he updated me and told me that I was accidentally reviewed and rejected for I-select because I was too old for SWO I-Select (I submitted my package when I was 25 but turned 26 about 2 weeks after submission) and that by the time the Navy realized the mistake the board had already met and therefore I was bumped to January 2026.

I had a couple of questions on this, some of which I've asked my recruiter but that I'd appreciate additional feedback and reassurance on, if possible.

1. Is this normal / real or was I just rejected and my recruiter isn't telling me?
2. Is there a way to verify this? I was worried my recruiter didn't even submit my package so having a way to check that he did or that I am at least scheduled to appear before the January board would be reassuring.
3. Does anyone else have any other advice for me in regards to this?
