Definitely put the letters of rec in your package. My recruiter told me something similar and I got denied, applied with pretty much same package + two letters of rec and got accepted. Intel as well. No interview for me except for clearance.
There are some designators that will read the LOR's but often people get ones that are just trash, they ask a person and the person can't talk about how that person has performed over time or their leadership or anything of value.

Ideally it is from a person that has supervised you, which is more and more becoming an issue as more companies are starting to not allow their employees to do recommendations on current employees, too often it is viewed as an endorsement from the company so companies are just saying "no".

It also could be the group of candidates changed and your application was just viewed in a more positive light, nearly all of my IWC candidates were accepted without LOR's back when the selection percentage was very low, but they put effort into their motivational statements and had GPA's in the mid to high 3's.

Wondering if anyone can tell me what is being asked during RLP these days. Been studying Bravo but just wanted to know if there were any ones I should really focus on. Also do they even ask Watch Standing Principles?
All of Appendix B is fair game. I definitely got asked watchstanding principles.

Quick question, I know you can bring your own running shoes to ocs and color is optional. But do most people just bring all black running shoes? The pair that I usually like to run in don’t really come in an all black or white color option, they are mainly multi color or a solid bright color. Would this be a issue?

Nah, you’ll probably get made fun of but you should be fine. If you’re really worried, just get a solid color pair

You're fine just bring something you’re comfortable in. My class was filled with a huge variety of color/brands of running shoes.

New around here but I have some questions regarding OCS:
1. I can’t find any instruction on it, but for the Appraisal’s I know It’s preferred to have Officers from the line you’re applying too do your interviews (applying to 1810, currently have interviews lined up with a O6 & O7). My question is can a Warrant 5 do appraisals as well or just an LOR? Also would it hurt to have an O6 SWO complete one of my appraisal interviews if I know it would be a good result.
2. My next question is I was wondering how my packet odds were. i got a 46 on the OAR, but have been working in the cryptology field for over 2 years so I have a little bit of experience, My degree is a B.S. in Information systems, I was a summa cum laude graduate. However my GPA prior to restarting school (restarted at a new school at 66 credits) was a 2.58. My total cumulative gpa should be around 3.4. My evals are pretty strong, I have a strong endorsement from my CO, been told my personal statements are very strong, and I’ve held leadership roles at every stop of my career thus far.
Also the appraisal’s mentioned above to be considered. I am applying for 1810 CW.

I was selected for intel for the June class. It’s a long story short, but recently my brother attempted suicide and I want to take time to be with him until his fiancé returns from out of the country. My recruiter said that If I ask to be pushed to the next class odds are that they’ll give my slot to someone else. Does anyone have experience with this or can advise on my situation?

You have a valid family reason to request to be pushed, send an email to him with what your request is and why. You should always send request via email so there is a trail.

Congratulations on your selection! Sorry to hear about your brother, sincerely hope that life begins to improve for him and he can put this in the past. It is a tough predicament you're in, I cannot even imagine. Hopefully you can attend to family matters and keep your spot, too. Best of luck!
