As for experience, I did watch it on TV a bunch...and I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I'm pretty much an expert. What exactly would you like to know? :)

I visited Kennedy Space Center 18 years ago, AND I watched a night shuttle launch, so I feel like I also have some experience to offer...

A career in military aviation offers a good route to the commercial space industry. Engineering degrees, ability to code, be a CATIA driver, various aviation-related skills (test, etc) all will help.

If you had said “Not that Much”, I would have told you that I was an Astronaut/Mission Specialist (one of the best lines ever used on a Houston stripper by a buddy of mine……..almost fell out of my seat laughing.)
I was th Records and Information Specialist/Archivist for the Center.
