I'm guessing ... Continental Airlines = "Proud Bird"??? They used to "own" LAX .... and used to be a GREAT airline when Robert F. Six ran it .... one of the top 2-3 that "we" wanted to get hired by ... of course, now I'm glad I didn't.

You got it. Rumor is the origin owner was a Continental pilot who started a chain of aviation restaurants in the 60s that spawned 11 94th Aero Squadron locations as well as other specific aviation themed restaurants devoted to specific units.

94th AERO was a favorite of the guys in Dallas ... I think I "lived" there for my first six months in Big D while living across the street from Love Field ...
