Saw this recently and was thinking of purchasing one for my M14. Have any of you seen or have one?

Advice?

would look like this...:(

That said depending on the situation sometimes I'd love to find a way to adjust the stock on mine.....

Good point. If you ever have to choose up sides pick me. I can shoot but can't run worth a shit anymore. If you need someone to stay behind and harrass the bad guys I'm your man. Either that or let me man the technical turret....

I think if push came to shove I'd be happy with bipod and a scout mount on mine.

I say fugly. It's like an AR15, SPAS12, and M14 had a funky love child after a night of jager shots. The M14 is a thing of beauty. Don't ruin it with that.

Agreed, the wood stock is absolutely gorgeous, and unless you're planning on using it in actual combat, all the 'tacticool' stuff would be better spent on shooting some lead down range :icon_mi_1

Although, if you really want tacticool. . .you could go this route

Tacti-cool.

I'd put that money toward ammo or some nice glass.

Nail on the head with this.
If tacticool is the goal then outfit it with the equipment seen in the bolt-on-parts orgy posted by EAS. If function is the goal then get good glass. Or you could spend the money on getting a wood stock worked and tailored to fit you. A tailored wood stock feels soooo good.

After tax and shipping, you are going to spend damn near $800 on that stock. What does it do for you? Improve accuracy? Mine does this (100 yds) out of the box with factory ammo:

If you want to tune accuracy invest in one of these:

It will improve accuracy and save money on ammo too.

It's your rifle and you can do what you want to with it. However, I just don't see advantages of such a mod. IMHO, some of the beauty of the M1A/M14 is the classic look.

Personally, I think that the Vltor system is much nicer (if you have to go the tacticool route), and it's more than $200 less:

Personally, spent my money on the Arms #18 (NATO) scope mount. And a quality optic.

It is much more solid than the mounts that soak up every vibration of the rifle.

You are going to end up spending plenty on ammo, glass, rings, etc... The "value added" for a stock like that just does not do it for me. To each their own, I guess.

Ive got a Armscorp M14 NM (which is way better than the Geneseo Springfields, IMO) , and i have drooled over the SAGE EBR stock also, only advantages i can see are
-weight, (although my GI isuue wood stock is way lighter than my friends Springfield Armory Geneseo wood stock)
-ergonomics, (as in puts the stock in a straight line like an assault rifle, pushing more recoil staright back instead of up)
-compactness ( that collapseable stock is awesome)
however for the price tag, i would personally go for glass first. I have an A.R.M.S 18, next thing im gettting is probably a Trijicon Accupoint(suggestions & criticisms) and some top quality rings (suggestions please).
However if money is no object have at it, because i think its awesome.. better on the scout though.. for the 22" barrel consider this
