After tax and shipping, you are going to spend damn near $800 on that stock. What does it do for you? Improve accuracy? Mine does this (100 yds) out of the box with factory ammo:

It's your rifle and you can do what you want to with it. However, I just don't see advantages of such a mod. IMHO, some of the beauty of the M1A/M14 is the classic look.

Personally, I think that the Vltor system is much nicer (if you have to go the tacticool route), and it's more than $200 less:

Personally, spent my money on the Arms #18 (NATO) scope mount. And a quality optic.
It is much more solid than the mounts that soak up every vibration of the rifle.
You are going to end up spending plenty on ammo, glass, rings, etc... The "value added" for a stock like that just does not do it for me. To each their own, I guess.
