@ theblakeness - those are encouraging words. After speaking with LT's in the Air Force it seems to be a growing trend there also. My brother who just left the USAF after 10 years mentioned that the policy towards eye surgery was changing as the technology becomes more accurate and less costly. Either way, military or not, this is something I have wanted in my personal life for years so it's reassuring to see the military take this position.
