Hi all. In short, due to some life circumstances I need to pull my package from consideration for Navy officer selection. As a former enlisted service member this is not a decision I am taking lightly.
Does anyone know if there is an official process to pull my package from consideration before the selection board? My recruiter is not responsive and I'm trying to find an objective solution to this. I've tried looking up Navy directives to no avail. Additionally, I know that individuals who seek to go the enlisted route can literally not show up to their ship out with no repercussions. I obviously don't want to do that - becoming an officer is a completely different beast.
I want to ensure that the process to pull my package is done right so that those highly qualified and motivated people who can become officers don't compete against my package.
Thanks!
