Looks similar to me. The J-10B is their stab at a home grown 4.5Gen. Interesting to say the least.

Not exactly, the F is just a western translation of the Chinese meaning of the J, which roughly means fighter. We do it with all of their 'J' aircraft.

That is because the Japanese Mitsubishi F-2 is a development of the F-16.

There's just something that makes me laugh about the Chinese copying/improving an Israeli-reject modification of an early block F-16.

Talk about a polished turd.
