Most likely “regular Navy’s” experiences with VP navy is probably talking to shooters on the boat. And they probably don’t even want to be there.
 
I dunno, half my pilots are VP. That, plus listening to all the VP ding dongs on here, gives me a pretty good read. 😂
 
Serious question, what happens (or happened) the pilot in control at the time? Is his/her career effectively over?

There are probably only a few people that are privy to the results of the mishap investigation/SIR. I have no idea.

That's really more a function of the FNAEB, not the SIR. Also, lots of people have access to the SIR. Those are all available to fleet unit Safety Os/ASOs, and they can look up pretty much any SIR for official use.
