I also fell under the new rules where I had to interview with an officer in each career field I am applying for.
For SNA I interviewed with the skipper of HSM-40/The Airwolves, Captain Conley. Great interview, he gave me high praise and an outstanding appraisal. Good luck to you all in your pursuits.

I'm in the Chicago area and my OR told me pilot/NFO does not require interviews and I even asked my processor and they said that pilot and nfo is not required either and really doesn't make a difference. It's more for jobs like Intel... This is just passed down information from my NRD.. So I was just wondering who told you it was a new rule, so I make sure I get one then if it is in fact a new rule.. Because I noticed a few other people going for NFO/SNA on here do not have interviews.

I was going to post something similar (Nashville NRD). I asked my recruiter about this being a new requirement and was told he hadn't heard anything like that.

Also Wambo, that's an amazing ASTB score. Good luck.

Well, I am basing this off of what my OR told me. FWIW, I am also applying for Supply and SWO. I don't know if it's required or not. It's overkill, a new reg, both, or neither.
I did what I was told. I interviewed with Supply officers and the Skipper, Exec, and Ops officer on the U.S.S. Carney.

Ryan,
Yes I did apply for the FANG board. I also applied to many other places as well. Anything not related to the Oct Navy OCS board is probably best discussed through pm and I would be happy to do so. Good luck to all OCS hopefuls!

Made His Bed, Is Now Lying In It
Given the shear size of the applicant lists for September, I have asked my OR to send my package in to the October boards as well. Gotta be proactive...
