It is still recommended that the "big 3" is our main focus before arriving right? Code of conduct, general orders of a sentry, and chain of command?

Other things you'll need to know:
-Verbatim descriptions of warfare devices
-Service songs (it actually amazed me that people didn't know these)
-Sailor's Creed
-Be able to name a few facts about each ship/sub, aircraft, and weapons system

Some of those you don't need for a while (week 8). If you have the time to study it now though, it doesn't hurt. I knew the aircraft before I got there and it was one less thing I needed to look at in the OCR.

Get a MP3 recorder and repeat the gouge to yourself then play it back every chance you get. It becomes like listening to music, you will eventually know how it is suppose to "sound" even if you can't quite remember. It helped me alot.

I just partied and worked out until OCS..I may have glanced at the stuff a few times, but I made it through OCS just fine. Don't sweat it, you'll learn what you need to know.

YES! My first smart-ass AW response! I feel baptised now!
That's what I do. I'm a people pleaser.

Don't sweat the mind game shit at OCS. Like others have said, get in shape, don't fuck up, and you will be fine. The biggest challenge I had (I was on the Green side) was keeping a straight face, the staff was hilarious, and keeping my weapon from rusting in the Quantico humidity.
