OCS Adress

OCS Address

My boyfriend is in OCS 196. He just left the 22nd of this month. I have all of the address but the company and platoon. If I send my mail with the company and platoon blank will it still get to him? How do I receive this information? Can I call someone at OCS or will that get him in trouble?

One of his first three days there he will send a form letter to his parents outlining what his address will be. That will include his Company and Platoon. The mail at OCS is sketchy so he may not recieve any letters for a week or so. The staff can use mail as another stressor and often do.

As for your question, as I understand it, mail at OCS is not received well... (I believe they look through it, maybe that's just packages.)

I know that doesn't answer the question, but just think about what you send, if you do send something.

I think he is supposed to send the adress to his mom & then I can e-mail her for it. It seems like there could be a quicker way to do all this though. By the time she gets the letter & I send mine it will already be week 2. There are only three weeks where we cant talk I think.

He'll be able to call on weekends after the third week. Mail is still a big deal for the candidates throughout the entire 10 weeks.

Getting you the address quickly is not the Marine Corps priority.

If someone would pipe up with what company he's likely to be in, she can just send a letter to each platoon. One of them's likely to reach him.

Each package was empty, but on the outside they would write stuff like "Do you still think your Drill Instructor is gay?" or "Did you really kick you DI's ass like you said in your last letter?"

Damn it was funny. I was glad I didn't have any friends that had been down there!
