Proud Warriors,
Listed below are the minimums for selection into aviation. In the past, it was put out that a 3.2 CGPA was required, but as you can see not the case.
For those worried about the age waiver, you STA-21 folks, not a big deal. It's a simple request that doesn't take that long to get approved and it's almost at a 100% approval rate. I was 29 when I received my commission and over 30 when I started flight school as an SNA. For those who are over 29 when you are commissioned, then NFO has an age waiver up to, but not including 32.
If you have questions regarding this email or the aviation community, please stop by my office. War Eagle!

10. If a member desires 1370 (NFO) or 1390 (Pilot), an ASTB must be taken and qualifying scores must be entered at the time of service selection.
NEW ASTB MINIMUMS:
1370 NFO - AQR 4/FOFAR 5
1390 Pilot - AQR 4/PFAR 5
(a) New GPA Requirement: A cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required for all Pilot and NFO selects.
(b) A flight physical must be completed (or in progress) at the time of service selection. However, the flight physical must be approved by NOMI prior to the member being commissioned as a 1370 or 1390.
(c) Applicants for Pilot (1390) must be at least 19 years old and not have passed their 27th birthday on commissioning. Applicants with prior enlisted service may be granted waivers on a month-for-month basis up to 24 months for active duty served prior to their 27th birthday, to a maximum age of 29.
(d) Applicants for NFO (1370) must be at least 19 years old and have passed their 27th birthday on commissioning. Applicants with prior enlisted service may be granted waivers on a month-for-month basis up to 48 months for active duty served prior their 27th birthday, to a maximum age of 31.
(e) For applicants older that 27 at commissioning, formal waiver requests should be submitted to PERS-435A via NSTC OD4

I hope this helps.
