Welcome aboard! You brother was a Prior-E bubblehead before going Army officer? An odd combination there (Army O-6 with Silver Dolphins and Deterrent Patrol Pin), but probably a pretty cool story...

Ed my father is Iranian. From Shiraz, did you get to do some traveling? I had an uncle who was secret service for the Shah (killed durin the revolution) and another who flew F-4s..I believe out of Isfahan.

Before I joined the Navy, I was able to visit Iran three times, beautiful country..lousy government.

Awesome pictures, thank you very much. I note the Riverhead dealership plates... I hail from Nesconset, in Suffolk County, just outside of Smithtown if you're familiar.

Welcome aboard to an excellent forum, populated with everything from wide-eyed youngsters :bigeyes_1 to grizzled old vets :sleep_125, and most everything in between ... :tiger_125s.

It is like a ready room, rough and tumble and not a ladies bridge club, but with great rapport and common interest. Our Web-San and the mods run a tight ship. They keep everything fun, interesting, and on an even keel.

... yes it is a beautiful country with beautiful people. too bad about the government. several of the iranian f14 air crew i worked with were executed shortly after my departure in dec of '78. they were good folks.

Does that mean that AW is becoming/has become self-aware? :bigeyes_1

Mr. Flanagan, welcome aboard, sir. Speaking as one of those wide-eyed wannabes, it's always nice to have another old salt aboard.

You guys are getting soft. Used to be when an FNG reported spouting these accomplishments, he was initially accused of being Skeeterman reborn.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard!

How do you know we're not setting a trap? We have super-secret, G-14 Classified Mod meetings (at varying intervals and locations) in which we have up or down votes on each AW member. We also discuss strategies to deal with Skeetermen and all their Skeeterisms.

Oh, Zip, "You just mind your p's and q's, Buster, and remember who you're dealing with!"
