BS in Geology and BS in Physics and a minor in Business back in the stone age. Can't say it helped but it didn't hurt to have some math background and well, the geology at least allowed me to counfound the pilot on a low level with "Left 120 at that plunging anticline" line.

I just edited it after it was cleared up. That third part about commissioning source was snuck in the thread later on ;)
