Marine Cleared in Shooting

I just think it's amazing how the media was so eager to fry this kid when it happened, but now that it is over, the noise they are generating about it is as loud as a flea's fart.

That sort of thing has a lot more to do with sensationalism than any particular political bias, IMHO. Big story surfacing involving violence, controversy, and strong emotions on either side? Great ratings- lead it. Same story going away or turning out not to be the big deal they thought it was? Boring, who wants to watch that? It's all about the bottom line. Besides, the major media did all cover the fact that the Marine got cleared, just without a lot of fanfare.

All I know is that I wasn't there. I didn't witness it. What I know is what I saw on television. Therefore, I cannot have (and won't try to develop) an informed opinion one way or the other.

My thoughts exactly. It's amazing how this almost never stops people from running their sucks about something they know nothing about, as long as they have some kind of half-assed opinion about it.

Agreed! :icon_mi_6 I've found too many people have a very "passionate" opinion about everyting but when you ask them to explain their position they can't say anything more than 2 sentences, neither of which contain a fact. Stop form oppinions and start doing research. It makes you look less asinine!
