Congratulations, you had an EP and made a successful landing, but one of the fuel tanks surrounding the cockpit ruptured, so now you're literally getting dissolved Bond villain-style by concentrated hydrogen peroxide. Yes, this is a thing that happened to some poor bastards.
Is it really an EP when an unpowered belly landing is the normal mode of operations?

For those who don't know what not any is talking
about the Me 163 used a rocket motor that used High Test Peroxide (T-Stoff auf Deutsch) as an oxidizer to mix with C-Stoff to generate thrust. High Test Peroxide is highly volatile and corrosive and could escape from the tanks during the routine controlled crashes that the flight profe called for.

Yep, mostly in the ETO where they downed DO-217’s, Bf-110’s, FW-190’s, He-111’s, and a few JU-88’s. They never served in the Med, but in the PTO they did down a Ki-48, G4M, and J1N1 and even a B-29!

The interesting part is that pilots didn’t always fly with the same RIO, so kill credit was confused.

To the public, yep. Get past Spitfire, Mustang, and B-17 and even a well educated person will not have any idea about the other aircraft that were instrumental in WW II.

Now you're just arguing for arguments sake. This is an aviation website for aviators. We're not the general public and therefore I assumed the "little known" was focused at us, ie the westland whirlwind.
