Shot the M11 last week for the Navy's pistol qual course. A lot of fun when you're left handed shooting a right-handed gun. Do they make this gun in a left-handed version?

I believe they may exist, but I'm not sure. If they do, they're rare.

Edited to add: The sigpro line has the option for a left-handed fire-control set you can get from the factory.

We've got M-11s, and I shoot left handed. A little awkward with the decocking lever, but you get used to it quick. I just slide my grip thumb over to the left side while keeping my grip. For magazine release, I've just gotten used to using my trigger finger. Not as quick as righties, but when anyone in the Prowler community is truly in need of fast magazine changes, the merde has truly hit the ventilateur....

I heard you guys were putting MP-5s in your seat pans when you deploy. ;)

Hell, if I could make it fit I'd jam a 12 gauge in there. Oh, and some porn.

Short answer, No. This is the single reason that while I love everything about SIG's handguns I will never own one of my own.

Man, being both a guitar player and a gun nut, I have really gotten to feeling bad for lefties. There's NOTHING out there for you guys. Good grief.

Its actually not a bad thing if your only left handed, your shooting hand should have to do with your eye dominance more then your dominant hand. You can learn to shoot with either hand. My father for instance is right handed, but because of a blindspot on his right eye he shoots left handed. Took him a while to get used to but he does fine.

And there are ambi-guns out there, the mentality towards them has changed in only about the last 30 years though. Before that the premise was, learn to shoot right handed or carry a really big stick. Revolvers for instance, dont exist in an ambi-form. That was probably the biggest appeal of my P7, that and being an engineering marvel, was that it was completely and totally the same operation no matter which hand you use. Infact most people I know who own a P7 are like myself left handed and left eye dominant.

That's why they should shop at The Leftorium.

I'm right handed and left eye dominant and I have yet to enjoy shooting more than my P226. My brothers rifle however is a real pain in the neck to shoot being I can hardly get my left eye to the scope, not very comfortable.

BTW ... just got off the phone with a call from my former SEAL MCPO friend --- he and I "shipped" together @ CUBI back in the early '70's ... he just returned from the SHOT Show and gave me his opinion re: the H&K 2000 (they didn't have a 3000, if one can believe it !!!). We talked about this and other things .. but at the end of the day --- his verdict:

He said .... fit, function, feel .... the H&K P2000 ... if you have the means .... BUY IT !! It's one of the best he's seen/handled.

I'm waiting to see some reviews of the to-be H&K HK45...supposed to combine the ruggedness of the USP w/ some ergonomics from the P2000. Supposedly. Evidently it's being marketed heavily by the yahoos at H&K for the new Joint Combat Pistol. Nothing seen as yet for reviews by real people though.
