I am creating this thread to give thanks to you all who have helped me and provide any info to potential OCS candidates.
Info about my package:
3.1 GPA from University of Florida
63 OAR 7/8/7 Pilot/NFO aptitude
4.1 average eval
Currently a CTR2 serving aboard CG-56 USS San Jacinto
My package had a few blemishes which I thought possibly derail my getting selected but they did not.
1. I started my enlisted career by dropping out of BUD/s
2. I then spent 8 months on limited duty due to injury from BUD/s
3. I am currently 28 which is over the age limit for SNA (got an age waiver, but they said it still was less than desirable).
If you are trying to push an OCS or STA 21 application my biggest piece of advice would be to find an enlisted to officer coordinator at your command. They usually are a mustang who has done one of these two programs. Mine was an awesome LT who was my biggest champion. Also get a ASTB-E prep guide and combine it with the great gouges here on this website and STUDY STUDY STUDY. If you have any questions I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.
