According to Cah8t6's CNRC gouge on December Board Applicants, the longest we would have to wait is 120 days after your kit has been received. I'm hoping for a lot sooner than that though.

No kidding. My recruiter also said that sometimes they also just randomly select people as packages come in w/o a board being held. Never heard of this and it didn't sound right to me, any info on this?

Nope, every applicant must have had a professional review and that professional review must be done by people of certain paygrades, generally the senior member is an O-6

So my recruiter informed me that my kit wasn't seen by the December pilot board because I wasn't physically cleared before the November deadline. He told me that my kit is now with the program manager for the pilot board and once they receive enough applicants, they will hold another board and my kit will then be reviewed. Can anyone confirm this information or tell me if there is anything else I need to do to make sure I am seen by the next board? Like I said, this is what I was told by my recruiter. However, in early October, my recruiter told me that I didn't need to be physically cleared before the board will review my kit. And well, here I am. Its not that I don't trust my recruiter, I just don't want any miscommunication cause the selection process to be pushed back any further.

On a similar note, I know the ASTB has been changed and people are no longer able to take versions 3, 4 and 5 of the test. I took version 3 of the ASTB. Because I wasn't seen by the December board, I shouldn't have to take the new ASTB in order to be seen by the next rolling board right?

Any information will help.

I had the exact same happen to me out of NRD New England. I don't doubt my recruiter at all, I think that the information that they receive from NRC is pretty insufficient. Merry Christmas everyone, hopefully the new year brings some answers.

In most cases it isn't NRC, it is the NRD's that are crappy at distributing information either they ignore it from NRC or the senior people at the NRD play the "I know something you don't" game.

I will say that the entire time I was attached to recruiting NRC New England was one of the worst about this, only one person at the NRD was allowed to contact people from NRC and that created an information void, in the past several years there have been a few people on this board that were jerked around by NRD NE, I hope they flushed out the problems there.

If you have a good ASTB score, keep it. You will not have to take the new version. And for pilot, nfo, SWO and supply, those boards want an N3m letter with the kit. That was a change this fiscal year... All you can do is ensure you've done everything with your recruiter or processor. Some recruiters still call NRC, but newer ones are discouraged as NRC gets upset they are being contacted so much.

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has heard ANYTHING as to when this next rolling board might meet for SNA/SNFO. Im trying to be patient but its a bit difficult when you expected to be seen by the december board, and im sure many of you feel the same way. So I'm just curious if anyone has any information that I havent recieved
Thanks!
