My wife and I are dual-mil in the Navy and will be heading down to NAS Pensacola to check in for NIFE in a few months together. I'm an SNFO, she's an SNA pursuing helos. Given our situation, we are trying to find the best area to split the commute between NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field. We'd like to live together in a safe and comfortable area in a small house or apartment. We're not much into night life, so that's honestly not a factor in the decision making. Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to look? Thanks in advance!

I have a handful of friends in this situation. Most either live on Nine Mile Rd near Pine Forest or Scenic Hwy/I-10. Both are roughly halfway between NASP and NAS Whiting. There is construction on I-10 near Pine Forest and HWY 29 so I would take that into consideration if you decided on Nine Mile/Pine Forest.
