Thought I would throw in a few of a ghillie suit I made over the winter as well. I made it for predator/duck/bow hunting. (Yeah...I WAS this bored...)

This was the "trial run" for that suit, so it still stands out quite a bit, especially in the snow. The flash on the camera makes the scope really stand out a lot on the first one.

Note to self......find out how to camo the tracks I left in the snow that lead up to my ghillie suit:D.....all right self....also, if someone can find me and take a picture, I probably should have shot them.:D

Haha, I played "hide and seek" with my buddy twice and he couldn't find me either time, I approached both hides from away from him so he couldn't use tracks.

The one where he is right next to me was when I went back out to the road, and I just wanted a closeup view of how it looked so I could see what adjustments to make (boots being the main thing).

Plus I don't think Cougars and other animals are that smart :)

Cougars are one of the few animals in North America known to actively stalk hikers and other strangers entering their territory. The other big one is black bears. Thats why you hike with a good reliable handgun. Problem isnt so much that they are following you, its that if they are going to attack they will do it once you realize they are there.

First time I went cougar hunting, me and a buddy sat out for about 45 minutes using a deer in distress call. Nothing.

We went out back to this little logging trail we were following and found some little cougar/big bobcat tracks. I followed the tracks and he had stalked around us about 150 yards out. Very unsettling to say the least.

Its really not that hard to imagine when you think about it. Anybody thats owned a housecat that would get in a mood and attack your feet while you werent paying attention, its the same kind of instinct except in this case the cat is 6 foot long and 200 lbs.

Yeah, but now that I left places like Yuma and am in a college town, that kinda cougar hunting just isn't the same :)

I'm gonna have to either straight-up buy an AR or build one in the next 6-9 months.

Before the next regime decides they are "too dangerous" for us with the AWB 2009.
