Ahhhh yes, seeing some very similar traits between the two...

But this guy's questions are WAY more intelligent!

Sorry, i wrote a big reply before, but it got erased because i put in a wrong password.

Here is my other question, because im not going to repeat the whole post:
http://forums.military.com/1/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=78919038&f=5671946761&m=3001991686

And i thought it would be a good idea to go to PLC this summer for 6 weeks, since there is no commitment, and i could decide whether to do military or go into medicine.

Thank you

Good Lord, someone PLEASE go to www.military.com and post some kind of reply to this guy's post. I tried but my hands won't stop shaking. After reading all the stuff written here, I was half convinced this thread was really a joke. I dunno, spreading it to another forum page is stretching it though.

My fav line is the one about how "carrying a US flag" is just a "bureaucratic thing".

ARGH. RAGE.

Hey please tell me about this PLC program? If i am a freshman and want to do the 6wk camp this summer, when is the latest i can apply? And also what are the dates when the 6wk camp is available? How much do i get paid in those 6wks? And they also say about financial aid, does it apply to me if my parents pay for college? Could they for example just give me that money, because i'm pretty broke... And is it ok if i go to a university in canada, even though i am a u.s. citizen? and also what exactly do you do in those 6wks? I for one wouldnt mind learning to shoot things, doing physical training, and maybe getting a free ride in an airplane or a helicopter. But i hope they dont do too many bureaucratic things, like carrying a u.s. flag and marching and singing songs. Please tell about your experience?

Oh and if you ask why i dont contact a recruiter, its because i think that is the same as going to a car dealership. And i dont go to a car dealership unless i've already researched the car i need to buy and actually come in to buy it, and not just look at it. And i'll be studying from monday and until end of april, so i dont want any correspondence to interfere with my studies.

Thank you.
"

Ok....
I don't even know what to say....
Bor0101, if this isn't a joke, which I'm hoping it is...Don't sign up for anything to do with the Marine Corps...please. I tried not to be mean in my first post, but this is ridiculous. You have no idea about anything... Do some research on your own. I don't think you've done one ounce of research...
And if this is a joke or some anti-military thing, its pathetic and not funny.

I think Strong Bad said it best:

"I thought I knew what ridiculous was...until this day."

Maybe someone should recommend joining the HomestArmy...

Ah ha! In the "Semester Complete" topic, bor0101 says he is in school and that "i'm in montreal". Hey, isn't the Star Wars Kid from Canada, too?

I'd love to see what he would put on his "Why I want to be an Officer of Marines" essay.

"I want to get paid, get chicks, and get some free rides in helicopters, and my parents pay for my college but i'm broke so it's very important that i get paid, no commitment!"

Patmack, i saw this add for "marine plc" at some college campus in ny. And they basically describe it as a 6wk camp where you get to shoot weapons, live in "barracks" and do other things that would introduce you to the military. And they underscore "no commitments". Thats why i wanted you to describe your experience with them. You must be kidding if you say i should get all my information from a recruiter. The reason that i dont call a recruiter, is because i don't want him to send me any brochures at this time. For example i'll have finals in april, and if they expect to hear back from me by that time, they wont, because i'll be busy. I prefer that when i call the recruiters(for example in late april), i can come to their office the same week and sign some things... i dont like to call just to "talk". And i am sure if you want to go to a certain college(your parents paying for it is a large commitment), you dont just call the university admissions officer and "ask whatever you want". I for one travelled to montreal, sat in on certain lectures, and asked students questions about the school. I am really diasppointed that nobody else here asked a question "how was your experience at plc?" and obviously i did not receive any responses. You must all have marine pilots in your family, or perhaps you're all just high school kids not even eligible to be officers. I am a u.s. citizen, so dont worry about me.

Whoever asked me about writing "why i want to be a marine" essay, i havent even heard about such a thing. But if it's for real, i'm sure it is not a large part of your admission. Same as essay doesnt matter so much in university admissions if you're a science major. But what would make me suitable to be a marine is that i have a suitable gpa, pft, and have certain qualities that i believe would make me a proficient pilot. I certainly dont like to "cuss" and insult people verbally unless it is face to face and i expect a physical confrontation as well. So if you want to repeat what you have said, come to montreal for a boxing match. But i dont expect a positive response from you, so i suggest you just dont insult me any more, and make yourself look more gay by with your silly insults. Oh yeah, my paragraph structure is no good, but that is because i am a science major, and i am sure you will understand whatever i wrote anyway.

bigworm, i am worried that you are applying to ocs.. If you're still watching your "south park" or whatever you posted in that link(i didnt even click on it). You may wind up bombing your canadian allies, like someone already did in afghanistan. And it is not a question of whether you believe all they show in the south park(i suppose you dont), but that you even find that cartoon entertaining at such an age, tells me something about your iq.
