LimeWire is pretty good about it, there is some crap on there but people are good at reporting it as junk so you know what to stay away from. You can always tell the good stuff.
Hey Zab, there's this AMAZING new thing available for use on computers. It's called Windows and it sure is a big improvement over DOS. Say goodbye to command line entries forever!zab1001 said:I assure you, I know what Limewire is.

Ahhhh, well, I DID look like a bit of a mo-ron regarding using the Pandora site, so I'll concede that it was my own fault. If it weren't for Limewire, I'd be FVCKED as far as getting any music down here.
Not that I download anything copywrighted or anything...
Nobody paid attention because you post so damn much! You've been on the site less than half the time as me and you have more than double my posts. This equates to a post factor of 4. Face it. You're a post whore...and nobody listens to a post whore.Fly Navy said:I think I posted this a few months ago... however good to post it again, it's a cool site.

Whether you agree w/ it or not, as per the DMCA, discussing how to break copyright and/or copy protection is illegal, and a Limewire/Torrent discussion can quickly head that way.
I don't know what any of this stuff is. I take it that Limeware is one of those peer to peer networks?gatordev said:Just a word of warning here... Gotcha. Used to be a big Napster proponent until I grew up and realized what I was doing was fundamentally wrong. I know what Kazaa is and have no interest...don't want any legal problems or bullsh!t spyware on my computer.Fly Navy said:Precisely. Got popular fast because A) No bullsh!t spyware B) the feds weren't watching it like they hawk Kazaa.
I just use iTunes... the quality is guaranteed good... sure it's $0.99 for a song, but at least a moron with no encoding experience didn't create the download. Half the stuff you get on LimeWire or whatever is crap encoding.

Didn't know you could buy songs for $.99 thru iTunes though. Will have to check that out. That's a reasonable price for a song IMO.
