Sorry to hear that, boss. Renew your interest and qualifications, then re-apply. The one thing I keep hearing is that persistence pays off. I don't know if it's true but it is what I've been told.

@warfighter Sorry to hear! I too have heard that persistence pays off, but it's unfortunate if someone may only have one shot and gets disappointed and don't want to try again.
I have been told no in the past due to political reasons; however, I am still pursuing a commission. I already know how I will improve my package if I am a non select.

I called my NRD yesterday; no luck so I'll be waiting a few hours and hope that they call me back before I try calling back again
Left a voicemail with my recuiter. If I don't hear from him for an extended period of time, I might call the NRD main office line.

Update: I still haven't heard from my OR. The NRD thought he might be on leave. They were going to try to locate my OR, then get back to me.

they should know if he is on leave, if not that is a bad leadership sign
(I don't disagree.) He works in a different state, same NRD. Entirely possible that they knew and just didn't want to tell me, a random telephone caller.
