Is this a DCO board? Or for Active duty?
I'm new to this forum, so please don't criticize me if asked something stupid. If anybody can help me out and tell, in case I wasn't professionally recommended in November Supply Board could I possibly reaplly for this one?
Thanks

This is for active duty, though the DCO Supply Board falls around the same time. As for resubmission, I'll have to doublecheck what the previous selection letter says.

Thanks. I know how embarrassing it could sound. Probably I'm the only one like this. After being not recommended I decided to retake ASTB. Days and nights of studying and being unable to admit the fact of rejection I went back, retook a test, stressed out and worsen my previous score. I know how it sounds. This is unprecedented. Despite all of this, would I be able to reaplly at all?

It is rare that an ASTB change would make the board go "this is the guy" (aviation excluded), there was something else that made them say "no" or the competition was just too good, or a combo of both. If you let us know your stats it might help better identify a potential cause or give advice at what might help increase your chances.

If you had been my applicant the answer would be "no" it is hard to write a reconsideration letter talking about what you have to to better your application when your ASTB went down.

My stats are next:
I'm 22 years old.
BBA in International Business. My GPA is 2.9
I'm currently enlisted in the Navy Reserve. I have recommendation letter from my CO.
My rate is Logistics Specialist. Current OAR score is 43.
I have no waivers, have already letter from N3M (PQ)
No legal issues or any violations.
Supply Corps was my only one choice. From the very beginning it was designator I wanted most.

Your GPA is going to really hurt you, especially with Supply having an extremely low selection rate, what do you do for a civilian job and do you have LOR's from them?

I'm working as a real estate agent in NYC. Have one LOR from my broker and from my CO O-6 (Pilot). I know it isn't relevant in this case. I really want go active and dedicate my life, career path as a Naval Officer. I understand that my GPA is a big downside, but unfortunately it can't be changed at this point. Would it be against the rules to reapply in my case for a current board? Or if I get a LOR from one of Supply Corps Officer would it be a positive change to my kit and a green light for resubmission? Thanks for helping me out!

Your GPA and OAR score are way too low. While you can't do much about the GPA now, I'd recommend taking the ASTB exam again. I've seen folks with MBAs, 3.3 GPA and a 45-ish OAR score get turned down.

Understood,
Would a language proficiency anyhow be helpful for a kit? So, it's not possible for me to apply for this Supply board? Thanks

not really, the USN needs very few officers that speak a foreign language, if they do they send them to school.

what was your OAR before? you may have been eligible for SWO before.

I would say resubmit inside of 6 months would not be allowed, the 2 things we were told that would allow for a resubmit inside 6 months were increase ASTB or new grades being reported.

Have you thought about graduate school? I would try that and do great and retake the ASTB again when you can.

My OAR was 45. I know that SWO is looking for 3.0 GPA and 48.

In case of native proficiency they still send you in a school? What kind of program is it?

You mean to involve in master degree?

The one I know of is for officers that lateral transfer to a specific designator after they have been in for a few tours, doesn't apply to new officers.

the min OAR for SWO is 45, from what they said with the increased OAR and GPA nearly everyone that put in for SWO was selected.

There's foreign exchange programs available when you're up for shore duty as a SWO (four-year mark). You'll spend 6 months to a year at Defense Language Institute (Monterey, CA) to learn a language and then serve 2-3 years with a foreign Navy. I knew one girl who went down to Colombia to work with their Navy and a former department head who taught at the French Naval Academy. You only learn a language so no you don't get a master's degree out of it.

Hello all,
I’m planning on sending in a reconsideration kit to this board. To strengthen my kit for this next board I'm planning on starting a master’s program, I went from E4 to E5, I am getting three LOR's (O3, O5, and retired Air Force O9), hopefully a NAM from my command, adding two more interviews ( another O6 supply, and also from the same retired O9). My questions are do I change anything on my original package (like rank change, new PRT stats and prims, or previously applied) or do I just add my extra info into the letter plus include the extra LOR's and interviews.
Stats;
MT2 on submarines
OAR 53
GPA 2.59 (the main reason for wanting to take a master’s program)
Interviews: O4, O5, O5, O6, pending O6 and retired O9
LOR 3 mentioned above.
Evals: MPs and EPs
PRT: Excellent, Good, and Outstanding
Thanks
