Drug Boat Strike

Not sure what any of this has to do with the fact that you just blatantly lied to everyone on this thread about what happened in the briefing - as though you had any clue. You're a real piece of work. This is why nobody here takes you seriously.
I didn't lie about anything. And I'm pointing out that there's maybe 20-25% of members of Congress - on a good day - who agree with your opinion.

It's an approximation...

When the Senate was appraised of Trump's MUF on TCOs, did they vote to stop him? No they did not.

That's because all of the strategic documents supporting the operation were generated at the request of the Biden adminstration. And the people in the Senate who read those reports don't give two shits who the President is (in private), they just act on TV.

Congress overwhelmingly approves of the President's actions.

No one is going to be charged with war crimes because no war crimes were committed.

They did vote to stop it and it failed 48-51. I think you would find life a lot easier if you understood the fact that things exist even if you're unaware of them. It would probably save you from wasting time on all these approximations you seem to be making up in your head.

I'm aware.

If Schumer were serious about stopping it, he could have negotiated 4 isolationist Republicans to cross the line.

No, you weren't, so why lie? You wouldn't have thrown out your 25% approximation if there was a vote showing that was blatantly false.

What leverage do you think Schumer has as the minority leader of the opposing party that is currently shut out of all 3 branches of government, especially when the administration is essentially nuking any and all republicans who step out of line with the party? In your head, do politicians commit career suicide so they can own-goal their party for nothing?

Well, if there's one positive we can derive from this, it's the reaffirmation that Spekkio is a deeply troubled individual, who will lie when it suits his purpose, and is, at best, a bad faith actor.

We all deserve better than that here. Join me in blocking him, to improve your AW experience.

These pussies at the Coast Guard better get with the program, but I guess we only get kinetic with smaller boats bound for Suriname though...Nevermind.

I wish the CG would give more info. There's currently nothing on their PA pages. Those are interesting stats. That's ~454 bales, which is significantly less than two specific cases I know of that happened 21 years ago (which at the time were the first and second largest interdictions on record).

I heard noise by someone I don't really trust that there was a seizure of a freighter with liquid cocaine onboard that equated to more than those two cases, but I never saw any case evidence and that would have been no more than 18 years ago.

What is interesting is to see that much contraband in an open go-fast. That's not normally how they roll. While we'll never know publicly, I'd also be interested in where the interdiction went down. A lot of times that can provide info on how "important" that load is to a party.

Are you insinuating that legal review didn’t occur. Office of legal council or theJAG present on the day all those guys just phoned it in live? Do we think it’s realistic that a 4 star combatant commander went into a brief and when asked directly about a “no quarter” order he would just lie/misremember and cover for the narrative.

With only a partial part of the story coming out so far I would not depend on statements or snippets so far. While folks may be lying they may not necessarily be telling the whole truth. For example, one can say they never received an order to 'kill shipwreck survivors' but then it turns out that there was explicit pressure or an implicit 'suggestion' to do so. We even had a term for it at my school, quibbling, when someone deliberately hid the truth.

Show the world the boat strikes. Maybe then we can stop hearing the term allegedly when it’s clear nobody was fishing from the submarine we blew up a month ago. Let’s just agree to start with the alleged “fishing” submarine.

I agree, show the world the strikes but at the same time we have the rule of law for a very good reason, and striking drug running boats certainly seems to circumvent it. When the folks on those craft don't present an 'clear and present danger' to us I have concerns about using deadly force as a first option.
