San Francisco is a different breed, not a good one either. If North Korea ever made a missle that could reach the west coast and launched, I'd choose there for it to land. (plus it would put 49er fans out of their misery).

That is a truly amazing video thanks for posting Ken. It is the things like this that the news media should be paying attention to instead of glorifying some whack singer because he was the "king of pop". Once again thanks Ken.

Anybody see any news clips/video about the Honor Flight Organization who's mission is to send all WWII vets to DC to see the Memorial? When I was at OTS, we stood on the flightline and saluted the returning aircraft and all the vets as they departed the plane. They had a band and huge crowd inside the airport welcoming them home. The vets even get a last "mail call" while they're on the plane ride with letters from loved ones- grandkids, etc. The whole idea is to give them the homecoming they never had. Truly one of the most touching things I've ever had the chance to be a part of.

Great post...Make a point to see the HBO video "Taking Chance" for another behind the scenes look at honoring our fallen heroes.
My parents recommended that movie a while back and I watched it. Good movie, good acting.

Great video! It's good to see that there are people out there that appreciate and respect what the military does on their behalf. I fly through DFW on my overseas trips and it has become very common for a soldiers body to be on board the aircraft with a military escort. The Capt always announces it to the passengers and asks, does not demand, that people remain seated until the body has been removed and proper honors are rendered...and it never fails that someone has to throw a fit because they can't sit for a few minutes and show some respect. My last flight from Hawaii to Dallas a lady actually got up and said "I don't give a damn what he, did I have my rights"....
If I didn't have raw-hide to vigorously chew on, I may have to be taken off that plane in cuffs, to the applause and satisfaction of all but one on board... :icon_rage
Thats hard to believe that anyone could say something like that. Hope she got hit by the airport shuttle shortly after...
