We've got a guy in our squadron that lost his entire finger egressing from a jet (wedding ring hung on the canopy rail). Callsign "Shocker".

I saw his picture in approach magazine. All i saw was him holding his hand out (making the shocker symbol) and then i looked at his nametag and i saw his callsign. I was thinking to myself, i cant believe something like this is in Approach magazine. After reading the article, I understood.

Seems most squadrons have a "wedge" the simplest tool known to man

Hey, I'd be fine with "Wedge". I'd just interpret it to mean I was being compared to this guy:

Heard one few weeks ago... SONAR- Skidded On NAvy Runway. Landed gear up at a NAS.
Allegedly he was an Air Force A-10 pilot.

What is it with these Air Force A-10 pilots and thier pilot error induced mishaps?

I being facetious, Sorry...I assumed that this was the same thread with FRIBAT...the A-10 pilot who’s callsign describes another unfortunate incident.

Yeti's a pretty cool guy. INFO over at VT-86 now...green side of the house
-18 guy. Yeti, the legend continues.

I once knew an A-10 driver who accidently pickled some blue death while fumbling with his navbag . . . FLAPWHEL. F***ing Lied About Pickling With His ELbow.
