We've got a guy in our squadron that lost his entire finger egressing from a jet (wedding ring hung on the canopy rail). Callsign "Shocker".

I saw his picture in approach magazine. All i saw was him holding his hand out (making the shocker symbol) and then i looked at his nametag and i saw his callsign. I was thinking to myself, i cant believe something like this is in Approach magazine. After reading the article, I understood.

Heard one few weeks ago... SONAR- Skidded On NAvy Runway. Landed gear up at a NAS.
Allegedly he was an Air Force A-10 pilot.
