Last summer there were some Golf and Echo candidates mixed up, but there were only a few. Did they decide to create an OCS quality spread between the companies?

They put a lot of PLC candidates into Charlie Company (Slammer2 was one of them) just to try and give them some more people. Alpha was apparently the largest company they've ever had at OCS when it started out from what we were told. We were over 300 at the beginning.

yeah Charlie had pretty low numbers I guess. Charlie 3 was roughly half direct commission. We only had 4 platoons with C1 being all the 10 week female candidates. I believe Alpha had 5 platoons so it was definately a numbers thing for us.

everyone had their own countdowns. "5 days and a wake-up" "6 more days" "dude if you dont count today and the last day, theres like 4 days left" "well family day is really only like a half day..." f-ing rediculous

I remember one guy about week 5 started not counting Saturdays since it was like a "Half Day." Or another guy that only counted days with scheduled PT events or stuff like SULE II as actual training days.

What was great though was the day the SI's went off when they found a Calender in the back of a set of Candidate Regs that had been dropped somewhere. Our SI started yelling all to hell at us back in the squad bay that he'd better not catch any of that crap in our regs, but at that point most of us didnt have a servicable set of candidate regs left.

300 candidates is not that abnormal... Alpha Co. had ~325 candidates for OCS 189.

See your missing the point here...we had 300+ after we gave a bunch to Charlie...so Alpha may have been at a normal number, but the sum total of PLC-C's spread bettween A and C was around 400.
