SSBI is your initial TS investigation, PR is the 5-year re-investigation.

SSBI: Single Scope Background Investigation
PR: Periodic Review
 
Matthew. Did you do your background interview yet for OCS? I have a secret clearance and did mine on Friday. I had a follow up call yesterday to clear up some dates. Hoping this background goes fast.
 
I haven't had to do any background interviews yet. Hopefully I don't have to. But you have a secret clearance already so not sure what they are doing.

My processor said they may or may not contact me. So hopefully they just didn't need to contact me. He said he has recieved multiple clearances with no interview.
 
Have not been on this site since 2009. I here you, I was prior enlisted 4 years. Just finishing up my 6th year as a SWO on shore duty. Coming from the Air force... I really did have some WTF moments why I am here others where it is rewarding, to now where I am on the fence on resigning my commission or going for more...

I can honestly say, it is command dependent your Ship, and your CO. Again the Airforce and Navy is a different beast, I went from a Airforce E-4 having my own computer, at work and deployment. To doing day to day operations sharing a half working computer, with 25 of guys as a DIVO in a engineering Dept.
