Great Commercial.....It certainly could not have been done without the great help & efforts of Military friendly San Fransisco.......

At least the Marines are more honest in their commercials. They tell you you will be challenged and then they challenge you. In the navy pretty much all we say is "get money for college."

OK, I get it. The lava monster is a metaphor for the shit barrel that a newly minted PFC gets to conquer with fire. Not a bad metaphor now that I think of it that way.:icon_roll

Seriously, though, I've done my time swabbing decks and learning the finer points of how to keep a low speed buffer from turning into the most destructive force known to man. Both Sailors and Marines have the same opportunities to succeed as they do to get stuck in shitty jobs they hate. Military service is what you make it - and some just never quite get that you'll never earn a better job if you never prove that you can handle the shitty ones.
