Awesome new Marines commercial

Great Commercial.....It certainly could not have been done without the great help & efforts of Military friendly San Fransisco.......:eek:
 
I kept waiting for some big sea monster to rise up and attack them.

Marine commercials are getting boring...

OK, I get it. The lava monster is a metaphor for the shit barrel that a newly minted PFC gets to conquer with fire. Not a bad metaphor now that I think of it that way.:icon_roll

Seriously, though, I've done my time swabbing decks and learning the finer points of how to keep a low speed buffer from turning into the most destructive force known to man. Both Sailors and Marines have the same opportunities to succeed as they do to get stuck in shitty jobs they hate. Military service is what you make it - and some just never quite get that you'll never earn a better job if you never prove that you can handle the shitty ones.

+1 to the SF comments. Great views of the bridge. I actually think the shots from Battery Spencer and the beach turned out better than if they had filmed on the bridge.

I'm pretty sure when the Marines put out that commercial, they didn't expect you to really believe we fight lava monsters.
