Apparently, ISEL and Unrestricted ISPP don't count against quotas?
I find that that's honestly BS.
It's just like getting MAP'd or CAP'd or whatever they are calling it these days. It absolutely does affect promotion and locks rates up.
Just ask any ABH, HM, DC, MA how they feel about it, haha.
We all know OCS mostly just fills the holes left after ROTC and Academy graduates.
But when I start hearing larger designators like SWO/Pilot/Supply begin to close, it's a head-scratcher.
Furthermore, those ISEL numbers are pretty high. I believe SWO is like 3.5 GPA, 50 OAR, and 0 waivers.
In addition, our NTAG has basically changed policy (we have a TSO SOP deviating from the Cruitman)
We didn't get individual goals for each recruiter for 2026; we have a command-wide goal split between all of us.
It was >90 last year (split between each recruiter), this year it's 42 for all of us combined.
@bmorr44
I thought I had replied to you earlier; my apologies.
I am technically not allowed to tell you specifically what to study as a current Officer Recruiter.
This is due to applicants blaming their recruiters after they do poorly on the ASTB/OAR.
However, like
@FormerRecruitingGuru said, there is a PLETHORA of good gouge on this board on both variants on the test.
Very Respectfully,
