Another "praise the Raptor" article

great vid!

Best part that gave me a chuckle was at 3:38 when he had to go back and add "oh and the F-22 *its up here*..."

We had the Indians parked across the ramp from us for that Flag. Part of the reason, they said, for their cautiousness regarding FOD is that Ivan doesn't make parts available. Any time an engine craps out, they have to buy complete engines from the Motherland. That was an interesting time at Red Flag this year. The Flanker sounds weird, I don't think I'll ever be able to forget the sound of those engines. The Koreans were flying brand-new Slam Eagles (F-15K) that were flown straight from the production line to Nellis. Sweet-looking jets.

I got a chance to fly a few times with the Indian Liason Officer down here in P-cola. He was a former Sea Harrier pilot. Very good stick and flyer. Granted nothing tactical but I was impressed with his basic flying skills. He was an IP in the FITU, my understanding it was very rare for a foreigner to be an IP without ever going through US training. Just met the new Indian Liason, a Sea Harrier pilot and a member of their Navy's aerial demonstration team. Word is these are their best pilots. Is this typical of their aviators? If so, are they that good at employing their aircraft as a weapon system?

Rumor a while back that the Indian Sea Harrier dudes were going to go to the boat in T-45C's, my bud was setting up the syllabus... did it happen?

They are future Mig-29K pilots, the Indians are no longer training studs for the Sea Harrier.

That thing is amazing, is there another aircraft out there that can even come close to those capabilities?

Too bad the Navy doesn't have any...

And what a beauty it could've been... :(

Max Moga put on a sick display the 2 times I saw the Raptor. It really defies the laws of physics.
