I only applied for AMDO!!! They seemed to like it during the appraisals...

Also, saw some questions about age. Right now the max age is 35 by time of commissioning (waivers entertained, PA doesn't really mention this though). I got some insight from a senior AMDO that the community is pushing to have that limit changed to 42; that may happen sometime this year.

Congrats Jason, what are your stats?

Thanks!

Congrats, looks like you, Jason and I will be in the same year group. Looking forward to meeting you. FY16s are getting their FINSEL already so hoping ours are coming soon.

Yeah man...had to have something good going for me! GPA sucks! lol.

Luckily I took it so long ago that it was still the paper version...this new computer-based ASTB seems tough! Doesn't affect the OAR, of course, but still, it looks tough!

The electronic version can be better, if a person make an error on the old paper version it hurts you, but on the electronic version it can be overcome because it is adaptive

Yeah the ASVAB is adaptive too, but I don't know that the results are that much different than with a non-adaptive test. Maybe at the mid ranges there might be a notable change, but at either edge of the spectrum I imagine it'd be about the same. No idea. But at least with the paper version you could study and prepare for the ASTB portion; with this new version you really can't.
