Oh yes, I have grown to hate the sappis. Although if I ever find myself in ground combat, I'm sure I'll appreciate having them on. It's a love/ hate relationship.
It was hilarious the other day as we were at supply doing final gear turn in. The sappis were one of the last items to turn in, they had us holding them up and there were a handful of Lt's who had been wearing x-small sappis the whole time, their little mini-sappis that probably weigh a third as much as the rest. They were publicly ridiculed on the spot. Working smarter not harder I guess, can't say I blame them.
That was rather funny indeed....I got a good laugh.
I thought that was a Bubba imitation from the movie Forrest Gump.
