I'd actually be open to that, if it was a combat related career path. I'm not much interested in anything like logistics or supply.

I dont think you have much to worry about regarding USNA. I know several people who applied, or were asked to apply to USNA that were prior enlisted. USNA sets aside several spots for prior enlisted folks, and while its not a sure shot, several folks I know were essentially told "if you apply, and you aren't a dirt bag, you're getting picked up."

If you're Active Duty Navy... you can apply to USMA (West Point) and USAFA correct?

Yeah but you are technically violating the "Don't tell" portion of Don't ask, don't tell.

I went to NAPS with a nuke that ended up going to USMMA. So it happens.

You are aware that if you go to USNA, you can be ordered back into the nuke pipeline?

Not necessarily, and as theBubba said, you've still gotta actually pass. All they can do is order you to go to the interview.
