Wow well let's hope the next board isn't another year away LOL. Thanks for the info.I touched on this a couple of comments back, but when I spoke to a Chief who handles the packages, they told me that IWC packages are being sent one at a time. Since Intel is your first choice, it’ll only go to that board. If selected, congratulations! If not, your package for your second choice gets kicked to the next board automatically. I would still follow up to ensure it does make it to the board as the date approaches.
Probably because your recruiter isn't fully aware what the job would do? I worked with Intel officers at the recruiting district and knew a few from the ship I was on that I talked to, they all said they have never needed to know or use any foreign language. We had a reserve Intel officer at a reserve center near me, prior to going to the reserves he sat a few IWC OCS boards and said language skills weren't considered as not a part of the actual job.Is there a reason when I was submitting my package that they asked about language proficiency? Or was it just to have it on record? It was part of the last few questions my recruiter asked me.
as someone in the intel field that works with linguists, occasionally officers (or any other enlisted rate really) that have a secondary (or more) language and a TS/SCI clearance could be asked to fulfill temporary duties in the intel field if there's a need for said languageIs there a reason when I was submitting my package that they asked about language proficiency? Or was it just to have it on record? It was part of the last few questions my recruiter asked me.

Spam calls are the current bane of my existenceDay 21…… I got a phone call on ‘accident’ from a Miami number. I know it was them but they said it was on accident![]()
Little known fact, if you miss the call they give your spot to the next in line candidate.Imagine I missed it by 2 mins and they were like nah call him last now![]()
