I heard every Pilot and NFO on the board downloads a tinder style app with pictures of us in badly photoshopped aviators lined up for them to swipe right or left on. ASTB scores, GPA, etc are in your bio, and they only get 42 right swipes

Not only is the selection rate 21%, but even those who get picked up will have to thumb wrestle for an OCS date before Christmas 2024. The training pipeline is just that backed up :/

I get a feeling the at board list might not be accurate. I have a friend who applied for an OCS board and got confirmation he is in that board, however checking the list I don’t see his name.

I’d like to think that I did everything I could to ensure I was on this board. Turned in on time, followed up to the point of being annoying, and I don’t see my name on the list.

sorry to vent. This is definitely a me problem.

Do you have any waivers? In some cases they have not forwarded on applications with waivers if they have too many applicants.

Paul is the person you would want to talk to.
