conn14, I posted an update reflecting that 01SEP10 is now actually the deadline, but I haven't heard any info or rumors on numbers of applicants...it seems like there is less chatter surrounding this board, but it might not mean anything.

Remember, too, that this board is a joint IDC board, for INTEL, IW, and IP, so there will be applicants for multiple communities.

Any idea when results from the September board will appear? Thank you for the info, and I wish you all the very best!

The board is 20-23SEP10. The results will most likely be available by 24SEP10, and depending on how fast the information is made available to the recruiters, you should be able to start finding out then or first thing the week following the board at the latest.

For both the September 2009 and March 2010 boards, results were available to recruiters the Friday of the board week (though some didn't actually hear from their recruiters for days or weeks later; however, that doesn't mean the results aren't available).

So after two weeks of chasing after my recruiter, I'm stuck waiting till the March Boards. :icon_rage I wish all the September applicants the best. I'm not done yet. I gearing up for March. By the way, scuttle butt has it there is a new comissioning application (4 pages) that is more streamlined. If you're waiting for the March boards like I am, call your recruiter for new forms.

Well PapaK, if anything, this will teach you a new patience...because if you get selected, you're sure to encounter more administrative frustrations. I posted the new application above in post #151. (It doesn't look like a link, but you can download the .pdf)

You have the right attitude: go after it in March (and keep your eyes peeled for a possible interim INTEL board in DEC). Good luck!

I have been told that the board was delayed until the first part of Oct so if you have docs to get in your packet, there may be time.

Any one hearing numbers?

The IDC board has not been delayed. It is still scheduled for 20-23SEP10; board members report Monday to convene the PR. The deadline for package submissions was 01SEP10.

Das you are absolutely correct the board has not been delay. I just got off the phone with my recruiter and it was news to him. He made a call to Philadelphia and called me back to inform me that the IDC board is still schedule for Sept 20th. Please folks research your information before posting!

Well, don't know what to say :(

I did exactly the same "research" as you. This was in writing from my recruiter so...?

Best to assume the board did not delay.:icon_tong

You're good. It's also good advice not to take things said on a public forum as fact, panic, and call your recruiter.

FWIW, my board was delayed by 30 days and I never knew about it. I got a call one day that I made it. In the end, it's the results that matter, not when the decision is made. Once the package is in, you can't do anything about it, so just sit back, relax, and wait for the phone to ring.

For what it's worth, the confirmation that the PR is proceeding as planned is directly from IDC community management in Millington (where the PR is conducted).

I'm not sure why so many rumors tend to swirl around boards...RUMINT at its finest. ;-)

And what dephyler said is good advice, but I also realize people have a thirst for information. I have seen a number of examples where people have been told boards have been delayed and results aren't out when the results have been known to be available for days (or, in some cases, weeks). Granted, everyone is busy and can't constantly field questions about whether the results are in, but I honestly don't understand the blatantly incorrect information people are sometimes given.

Found this forum while doing a search for DCO discussions. I wanted to add my info into the discussion.

I submmitted an IP/IW package/application for the Sep20 boards. The waiting is killing me.
Heres my background.

BS in IT/Information Systems Security
15+ years of IT experience, all working as a contractor on federal contracts.
Prior IT2 in the Navy (active duty for 5 years)
Current TS/SCI
Great references
Great interviews
LOR from my congressman

I am from the DC area as well. Did anyone else work with LT Harper?

Few things to look at in your package. Do you know how high you score on your interview? Are you performing a leadership role in your current job? You prior active duty will serve as a plus along with your TS/SCI. Graduate degree is a biggie for the board, not to say they will not pick someone up with a Bsc. Best of luck!
