I unfortunately have only filled my time outside of work with anything Navy/aviation related, oops. The show is pretty good (I'm assuming you're talking about the next gen series on Hulu). I can tell they dramatized some stuff for the sake of entertainment but I learned more about strike and it was nice to see women on the big screen so I enjoyed it. It was cool to see the human side of the students and how they deal with mistakes/set backs
Yeah it’s a great show.

Ur not alone though I don’t think it’s a superstition haha just a weird human quirk. I’m waiting for the pro rec Y to watch Down Periscope (not even naval aviation related just the Navy) again lmao, or that one carrier mission in battlefield 3 on YouTube
BF3 was genuinely a big motivator for naval aviation as a kid for me. I remember that mission and seeing the fa18 flyover while on the ground chasing down another plane as a ground troop at like 10 yrs old and was like wtf this game is sick. Now im playing BF6 dropping 50+ kill games in the helos and gripen/f16 to pass the time, its a blast.

Same here I played it way later during like high school and that one mission alone, especially the launch sequence, was more inspiring than the two top guns combined for me for some reason. Great video game campaigns really are the best recruitment tools lol besides movies. And for bf6 I’m waiting till pro rec Y to drop that $70 hahah

I feel like I wasted my money. I was looking for nostalgia when I played BF6. I think the maps are too small and the movement resembles COD. Maybe I am being too harsh too early. But I was expecting the same styles as BF3 or BF4. The jets however are definitely fun.

I find myself always going back to the Star Wars Battelfield 2 game. Its the only game that does high action/massive battles good.

I’m trash at BF6. I’ve never played any of them until now. I get like 10 kills a game 😂

Even from BF4 compared to BF3 I felt that the maps were smaller
