They have a sim in the nife building. And they have a bunch of sims at an apartment complex called carriers landing. There’s always students staying there so I recommend finding one and study and train with them. The Cessna is a very simple plane and they expect you to be bad when you start so don’t worry about it too much. Nife flying is more about knowing EPs/limits, doing the proper procedures, and taking instruction. Also 90% of people have 0 flight time coming into Nife and they know that. So don’t overstress yourself.

I did all my training in the Cessna so no a/c during July 😂. At least we were high up so it was cooler. My plane had autopilot but they pulled the cb and zip tied it bec they wanted us to hand fly on the XC trips.

Yeah I fly a lot in the summers in a bubble canopy with no A/C. It gets hot really quickly especially in West Texas when it’s like 105 outside lmao.

Oh nice I stopped there once on my xc back home. Probably saw your flight school bec they had a bunch of diamonds on the flight line. When we were there there was a military drone taking off while we were fueling up. It’s a pretty scenic area for west texas.

Yeah that’s me lmao. Customs and Border Patrol operates the MQ-9 drones there. One crash landed last week as a matter of fact. Definitely a way better part of West Texas than Midland where I lived for a while beforehand. Currently I think there about 7-8 old Texans doing a formation flying training here they look sick.
