1001 questions (and answers) concerning BDCP

Sorry for the double message but I messaged my recruiter and he hasn’t responded yet and I’m curious. Has anyone moved while being in bdcp? I potentially have the opportunity to finish my degree with online classes and I have friends with a room opening up in September in Hawaii that sounds like a lot of fun to move in to. Couldn’t find any info at all online but if anyone has any experience or can show me where it is online i’d greatly appreciate it.

This is 100% an edge case recruiter question. Because you’re getting paid to finish school, there needs to be a compelling case since you are wanting to move to Hawaii instead of your home of record, ie where your parents live. Depending on where you are at now it might be perceived that you are attempting to commit BAH fraud to receive a higher housing allowance.

Just some thoughts but once again call and follow up next week after the holiday break.
