1,001 questions about the ASTB (post your scores & ask your questions here!)

I just received the X52 Hotas Stick and throttle to set it up on my Computer to prepare for the Simulator using Jantzen's and Mike's ASTB Simulator. Still, I have been having trouble getting it to sync with the simulator itself. Has anyone had any success? If so, how did you set it up? Also, just in case it is asked, I did plug it into my computer's USB port, but it still won't track the movement of my joystick or throttle.

You need to download the latest version of "antimicro" ( I believe it's antimicroX) or a similar software to use the stick and throttle on the sim.

If you're on windows you can download the app antimicro from the microsoft store.

I am just taking the OAR in about 2 weeks, not the ASTB. I got a 38 on my first try, very weak in math unfortunately, I am trying to aim for SWO or Supply. Would it still help to review the other math practice sheets, like the Gomez and Kyle study guides, or would I still be okay if I just studied the 100 OAR practice math problems I see around here and Reddit? Saw one post saying with just that sheet that's all I would need but again that post is 4 years old, so I understand a lot could have changed.

If you are referring to this reddit post and the 114 practice questions, yes they will help 100% since math concepts are not going to change. As for material, i'd say any math concept below calculus is fair game. I definitely saw multiple math concepts that appear in the gomez drive, just different wording. If you have the time, i'd recommend you reschedule ur OAR until you can do all the worksheets from gomez without help and go through the entire algebra-precalc module from khanacademy or similar resources

OAR Math For Beginners book is good too, it's what I used the second time I took the ASTB.

Hello all, this is my first post. I am exploring becoming a Navy pilot and very excited. Haven't taken the ASTB-E before and looking forward to it!
I am curious if anyone has a specific outline of the different portions of the PBM section. I know there is dichotic listening with joystick tracking, the heading one (where you turn the compass to identify the parking lots), and terrain identification. Anything else?
