To add, the discrepancy might just be from ease of access to the spreadsheet. If you look at most other SWO board posts, the initial post doesn't include a link to the spreadsheet and it gets buried whereas the initial post here includes the spreadsheet + a link to it so its easier for people to see and input their information.

Actually this one has significantly less responses than some of the older ones… some of the older ones have over 20 responses.

And actually this forum has less posts on it, which I guess just means that there’s less activity on this application cohort. But I’m not sure what it means yet

100% agree. I would be curious to see the actually statistic… not that the navy would ever release it

You guys are forgetting reporting bias. Think about how many people aren’t doing all of this research and following threads and stuff that are going to the board. If anything, you should assume that the spreadsheet has a higher than average stat for everything.

We agree, that’s why I’d be curious to see the actual statistics

I also applied for Army ocs. Been waiting on navy since May. The navy botched my paperwork first time. I d prefer to go navy but I gotta wait for this. The army may offer me something in this week or the next if I sign for Army ocs can I switch to navy still if selected before shipping

Pretty sure once you sign you have signed if anything you could just try to delay your signing after you get an offer.

Actually I think for the September board, it’s 75% overall and 80% for SWO selection. If im reading this correctly

Edit: might not be correct, because I would assume that overall would be higher because people were accepted into other programs over SWO

Correction on the data actually- they did a weird way of calculating it.
16 people submitted their information. 1 person reported that they were accepted into another program. 12 reported that they were accepted as SWO. 3 did not report back, which was interpreted as not accepted.
The math they did was 12/16 for overall, and 12/15 for SWO
Assuming the not reported back were not accepted (which we don’t know), what probably makes the most sense was 13/16 accepted for overall and 12/15 for SWO.
Which is 81% for overall and 80% for SWO.

Also another issue is that with only 1 person accepted into another program, there’s a lot of margin for error
